Play dough Recipe for Classrooms:

Ingredients:

3 cups of Flour       3 tsps. Cream of Tartar

3 cups of Water      4 Tbsps. Vegetable Oil

1 1/2 cup of Salt    Food Coloring

Mix ALL ingredients together in a saucepan. Heat on LOW flame until the mixture lumps together. Then, stir until the mixture clumps together into a large ball and the stickiness is gone. Store play dough in a covered container or plastic bag. This requires no refrigeration and should be not sticky.

For a brown color, add cocoa powder. This also  makes is smell like chocolate. To add other scents to other colors, use one package of unsweetened Kool Aid. This recipe makes one batch.

Preschool is the perfect environment for exploring new concepts and trying new activities. The goal of KOG Preschool is to ensure every child feels confident about exploring the world around them. Parents can help in building this confidence by following the tips below.

1. Make sure your child is dressed for mess. If children need to worry about their clothes getting dirty, they cannot focus on trying new things such as paints, markers, stampers or the art of digging in the sand.
2. Dress children in close-toed shoes with socks. This is for safety purposes as well as for comfort.
3. Many times there will be art projects and important notices sent home. Please check your child's backpack or tote bag on a regular basis so you do not miss any important news from your child's classroom.
